1977 Custom 80-foot Brigantine motorsailer named 'The Devil's Gauntlet,' built in Pillar Point, California. Exact full-size replica of the Royal British Navy Brigantine Sultana (1768), designed with extensive input from Philip & Son Shipyard in Dartmouth, England.
Hull constructed from Kevlar/Polymer composite offering superior strength and longevity. Features two wooden masts, bow pulpit, and traditional brigantine rigging with all sails and standing rigging intact in excellent condition. Accommodates 14 guests across 5 staterooms with full amenities including main salon with wet bar, U-shaped galley, and master suite with ensuite head.
Completely refit 2019-2022 as a fully functional blue-water motorsailer. Powered by Cummins 210HP Turbo Diesel engine (1,038 hours) with TwinDisc transmission. Systems include 300 GPD watermaker, 800-watt solar with 500-watt wind generator, StarLink internet, dual AC units, full washer/dryer, and comprehensive navigation electronics.
