Description
Caribbean Express is a 42-foot custom-built express cruiser constructed in 1984 at Nordin Industries by the current owner. This meticulously engineered vessel represents the pinnacle of thoughtful boat design, with every system and feature purposefully integrated for longevity and functionality.
Powered by twin supercharged Merlin 454 HP heavy-duty Chevy Big Block engines (540 cubic inches each) with direct port fuel injection and computer-controlled ignition, the boat delivers exceptional performance. With only 200 hours on the current engines, both run perfectly. Twin Monel shafts accommodate two sets of propellers: smaller props for short runs and docking, larger props for extended 1,000-mile cruising ranges at 30 knots.
The 14.5-degree V-Hull features four lifting strakes and is constructed with closed-cell Klegecell foam core bonded with fiberglass for exceptional strength and lightweight durability. A 4-foot stern extension optimizes propeller shaft angles and improves weight distribution. Tug boat-sized engine struts provide overbuilt durability.
