About Fiji

Fiji has earned its reputation as the Pacific's friendliest destination many times over. The Fijian 'bula'—the greeting you'll hear hundreds of times—is entirely sincere. The islands are welcoming to visiting sailors, village visits are genuine cultural exchanges, and the hospitality feels real.

The sailing is excellent. The Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands are the charter heartland—protected waters, manageable distances, and enough islands to spend weeks without revisiting anywhere. The diving is world-famous: Fiji is home to some of the most spectacular soft coral in the world, and dive sites like the Great Astrolabe Reef are legendary.

Provisioning is good in Suva and Lautoka. The sailing conditions are best from May to October (southeast trade wind season). This is South Pacific sailing with excellent infrastructure—the perfect entry point to the Pacific.
