Turkey's coastline is one of the Mediterranean's great undiscovered (by most) secrets. The Blue Voyage—a sailing tradition dating to the 1950s—follows the Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean coast through an endless succession of pristine bays, pine-forested mountains, and ancient ruins. Bodrum is the traditional starting point, with its crusader castle and vibrant sailing scene. The coast east toward Göcek, Fethiye, and Kas offers hundreds of protected anchorages and ruins accessible only by boat.
